It is a gift meant to be passed from hand to hand.

I did not arrive at any of this alone, and I will not carry it forward alone either. So before I close, I want to say thank you.

First, to my sister, Ava. This whole book began with losing you. The pain of it broke me open, and somewhere inside that breaking I found everything I have tried to share in these pages. I would give all of it back to have you here. But since I cannot, I will do the next best thing: I will take what your leaving taught me and give it away to as many people as I can. This is my way of keeping you close.

Thank you to Serena Law — my teacher and my healer. You were the one who opened my doors. You sat with me in the darkest time and helped me find my way back to peace. So much of what I now understand, I understand because of your teachings. I will be grateful for the rest of my life.

Thank you to every other teacher whose words lit my path — the ones I have met, and the ones I only know through their books and talks. And thank you, most of all, to everyone who has chosen to walk beside me in spreading this wisdom — every partner, friend, collaborator, and stranger who has helped carry this message a little further into the world.

None of this wisdom is mine. I only lived my way toward it, and found it already glowing in the great teachers named in these pages — and in countless others I will never be able to name: the friends, the books, the quiet strangers who each handed me a little light. I simply gathered what was already there. Wisdom like this was never meant to be owned, only passed on — which is why this book is, and will always be, free.

This was never meant to be one man's book. It is a gift meant to be passed from hand to hand. If you are reading this, you are now part of that chain. To share this wisdom — to help even one person choose love over fear — is the whole point, and the surest way to keep it alive. From the bottom of my heart: thank you for being part of it.
